RALEIGH -- Police evacuated Triangle Town Center Saturday night after a brawl broke out in the upper-level food court involving as many as 100 teenagers.
The melee started shortly before 8 p.m. The cause of the fight was not known late Saturday night.
Police at the scene described it as chaotic as more officers rushed to the mall to assist with the evacuation.
Many shoppers were frightened by the uproar and fled the center hurriedly. There were no immediate reports of gunfire or injuries.
Police had taken several young people into custody late Saturday night as their investigation into the brawl continued.
The mall will reopen at noon on today.
