The N.C. Highway Patrol has identified two men who died in a two-car accident on U.S. 64 eastbound near U.S. 581 in Nash County late Saturday morning.Amardeep Singh, 26, of Morrisville, and Nilesha Nahata, 24, of Indore, India, died at the scene after Singh lost control of his car, which then left the highway, crashed into several trees and overturned.The patrol said Singh and a co-worker, Sivaraj Pasumalai Thevan, 26, of Morrisville, were driving alongside each other at a high rate of speed on U.S 64 when Thevan tried to merge in front of Singh, causing him to veer off the highway. Thevan was charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by a motor vehicle, reckless driving and an unsafe lane change.Two other passengers in Singh's car were airlifted to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.The people in both cars were part of a three-vehicle caravan headed for the Outer Banks, the patrol said.
