CARY -- A Cary man was arrested Friday on charges of child pornography after an eight-month investigation by the Cary Police Department.
Jeffrey Torian Phelps, 41, of 101 Northwoods Village, faces 13 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, according to arrest warrants.
Police seized Phelps's home computer in July and found 13 videos showing boys - ranging in age from 8 to 14 years old - engaged in different sex acts, warrants said.
Phelps got the files from a Web site for "peer-to-peer pornography," according to Lt. Kevin Tingen. Police said Phelps worked at a store in Cary Towne Center.
Phelps is currently being held under an $830,000 secured bond in the Wake County Jail. He faces a judge tomorrow morning.
