Police detectives want to talk to a customer who might be able to describe a suspect who robbed a Subway restaurant after the customer left.The man who robbed the Subway at 5410 Six Forks Road Wednesday might be the same person who robbed two Subway restaurants this year, according to Raleigh Police Department spokesman Jim Sughrue. Those robberies occurred Jan. 23 and April 5.The suspect entered the restaurant, in the shopping center at the intersection of Six Forks and Millbrook roads, about 9 p.m. Wednesday. He lingered in the restaurant until a customer left and then produced a handgun and robbed the store before fleeing on foot.The customer who was in the store just before the robbery was described as a white woman with long blond hair. She was driving a newer model silver car. She might be in her 30s, police said.Police are asking the woman to call 890-3555 to be interviewed about what she saw.The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, who is of medium height and build. He was wearing a black shirt, bluejeans, a hat and sunglasses. Police did not provide additional identifying characteristics such as hair length, skin tone or tattoos.Anyone with information that might assist the case is asked to contact the Raleigh Police Department's Detective Division at 890-3555 or CrimeStoppers at 226-2746.
