Officers may yet face punishment

GREENSBORO - A police official says three Greensboro officers could be held accountable even though a prosecutor decided not to prosecute them in a sexual assault case.

The News & Record of Greensboro reported that Assistant Chief Ron Rogers said the officers could face administrative punishment and that investigators still are looking into the case.

A female police officer reported in December that she was sexually assaulted after she got into a vehicle with three officers, who have been on paid suspension.
