Holiday shifts offices' schedules

DURHAM - All Durham County offices will close July 4 for the Independence Day holiday.

The Durham County libraries and recycling convenience centers will resume normal operation July 5.

The Department of Social Services will be closed July 4. To report abuse or neglect, citizens should call 911.

Durham County's curbside recycling collections also shift the week of June 30. Residents whose recycling is collected Wednesdays will instead have their bins emptied July 5.

All other county offices will reopen at 8:30 a.m. July 7.
