Police investigate abduction, assault

Durham police are investigating a reported New Year's Eve abduction and sexual assault.
A woman reported being hit in the head and driven in her car from Holloway Street to an unknown location where she was sexually assaulted, according to a police application for a search warrant.
The suspects then drove the woman to ATMs to withdraw money, according to the application. After nearly 24 hours, the woman escaped and drove herself to Durham Regional Hospital.
