There are four bus systems in the Triangle -- Capital Area Transit in Raleigh, Durham Area Transit Authority, Chapel Hill Transit and the Triangle Transit Authority. In addition, the town of Cary, which has on-demand van service, will begin running a fixed-route bus service Nov. 1.

C-Tran: Town of Cary offers on-demand, door-to-door van transportation from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Fare:$2 one-way in-town service; $4 one-way out-of-town service; seniors pay $1 one-way for in-town trips between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Beginning Nov. 1, town will start fixed-route bus service on three routes, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
