Interstate 95 south near Kenly is shut down as the state Highway Patrol clean up an early morning accident involving a tractor-trailer and a man mowing the grass along the highway, officials said.

The Highway Patrol expects Interstate 95 to be blocked for most of the day.

The worker was killed after the tractor-trailer struck his tractor.

The driver of the truck lost control of his vehicle and ran off an interstate bridge, the Highway Patrol said.
