The Special Transit Advisory Commission is a group of Triangle residents asked to develop new priorities for major rail or bus transit improvements over the next three decades.

The group held its first meeting Wednesday. City and county elected officials who make up the Triangle’s two transportation planning agencies have asked the group to make its recommendations Oct. 31.

Plans to involve Triangle residents in the process will be developed in coming months. Information about the effort is available online at www.transitblueprint.org

Here are the 29 voting members of the Special Transit Advisory Commission.
