RALEIGH - A federal grand jury has indicted two men who are accused of escaping a halfway house for federal prisoners in December and later robbing a Clayton bank.

Lamont Massenburg, 24, and Charles David Cain, 41, are charged with six felonies. Cain also was charged with possession of ammunition by a felon.

The indictment alleges that Massenburg and Cain escaped from Cavalcorp Community Sanction Center in Raleigh on Dec. 10 and, disguised and brandishing a handgun, robbed the RBC Centura bank on U.S. 70 West in Clayton of more than $4,000. The two were arrested a short time later.
