DURHAM - Former President Jimmy Carter will sign copies of his new book, "A Remarkable Mother," on Thursday and Friday at two Triangle locations.

Carter will be at the Sam's Club on 4005 Chapel Hill Blvd. in Durham at 4 p.m. Thursday and at the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 12873 U.S. 70 Business in Clayton at noon on Friday.

Event organizers said those interested in meeting Carter at the book-signing should already have a copy of his latest book in hand before getting in line. Carter will not be able to personalize or sign any memorabilia.

"A Remarkable Mother" highlights the life and work of Carter's mother, Lillian, who died in 1983.
