A Four Oaks woman died Tuesday night after she was struck by a car while walking down a rural road with her boyfriend and their child, according to the state Highway Patrol.Donna Baker, 23, of 1505 Elevation Road died at Duke Hospital, where she had been flown by helicopter, said Sgt. K.D. Bell of the Highway Patrol.Baker's boyfriend, Michael Beaver, 23, also of 1505 Elevation Road, was injured but did not require treatment, Bell said. The child, whose name was unavailable, was not injured, troopers said.The accident occurred at 6:21 p.m. on Old School Road near Gum Swamp Road, about two miles from the family's home, troopers said.Bell said the three were walking west when Baker was struck from behind by an Oldsmobile driven by a Four Oaks man. Neither speed nor alcohol were factors, and no charges have been filed.
