Police charge man in child sex case

CLAYTON - A Raleigh man has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting two girls in Clayton in December.

Clayton police arrested Luis Antonio Cruz, 43, of 818 Capital Blvd. on July 3. He is charged with two counts each of first-degree statutory rape, first-degree sex offense with a child and indecent liberties with a child. The girls were 8 and 11 years old, police said in a news release.
