CLAYTON - Police say they have cleared 31 cases of vehicle break-ins with the recent arrests of four teens.

The break-ins, all occurring since late March, involved cars parked at the Riverwood, Garrison, Ellington, Glen Haven and Grovewood subdivisions, Parkside Village Apartments and John Street.

Police on Monday announced the arrest of the fourth teen, Dustyn Lee Heath, 18, of 420 Cannady St.

The three others were arrested previously. They are: Noah Chandler Crowder, 19, of 604 S. John St., Rafael Maurice Chicco, 16, of 1958 Jack Road and Robert Tremayne Davis, 18, of 2835 Woodside Drive.

Both the police and the Johnston Sheriff's Office have filed multiple breaking and entering and larceny charges against the four, police said in a news release.

Thieves roamed through subdivisions and apartment complexes at night looking for unlocked cars, then rummaged through the cars in search of cash, iPods and other items, police said.

Officers arrested the four after investigators conducting a drug investigation at 604 S. John St. on April 4 discovered prescription pill bottles that were linked to one of the car break-ins.
