NCDMV switches from two color-coded stickers to a gray one

For you law enforcement officers who rely on color-coded stickers to spot expired car registrations from a distance, the Division of Motor Vehicles is about to make you look more closely. DMV says it will end the system of putting two stickers on each license plate – one for the registration renewal month, and one for the year.

Selfie-related wording dropped from Wake County policy

The Wake County school board’s policy committee will review Tuesday an updated policy on student use of technology. This version omits wording from a prior update that could have banned students from taking selfies or other photos or video at school unless they had teacher permission.

Cheswick subdivision complains about neighboring development

Residents in the Cheswick subdivision off of the I-540 and Knightdale Boulevard Bypass aren’t happy. Led by resident and a Cheswick homeowner Sunny Myers, a project manager in construction, a group of more than 50 neighbors is claiming that they were lied to by their home-site representative and is seeking the town’s help to pressure the developer or rezone the area.

Wake County school policy change allows continued selfies

The Wake County school board’s policy committee backed Tuesday an update to the system’s technology policy that would allow the superintendent to shut down disruptive online accounts from students or teachers. But it doesn’t include wording previously suggested that could have banned students from taking selfies in school.
