In case you’ve been living under a rock: It’s Shark Week.
(Speaking of: Raise your hand if you’re also disappointed that Michael Phelps “lost” to a Great White Shark by 2 seconds.)
North Carolina’s universities have strong marine science research programs, and we’ve collected a few (and a few researchers) that you should follow over on our College Town site.
Among them are:
@UNCims – The Institute of Marine Sciences, which is UNC-Chapel Hill’s marine lab. It’s an off-campus research, education and outreach unit of UNC.
@unc_masc – The Department of Marine Sciences at UNC-Chapel Hill.
@DukeMarineLab – Duke University’s Marine Lab, part of the Nicholas School of Environment.
@DukeMarineUAS – The marine robotics and remote sensing lab at the Duke Marine Lab.
@ncsumeas – N.C. State University’s Marine, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences Department.
See tweets from these accounts, as well as some individual researchers to follow at this College Town link.
