A spaghetti dinner is scheduled from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Believers Baptist Church, 10 Southerland Road, Clayton. Plates are $8 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger.
Good Samaritan United Church of Christ has moved from Selma to The Clayton Center, 111 E. Second St., Smithfield. Worship is at 9 a.m. Sundays, with fellowship following. Christian education is at 11 a.m. The church’s youth group meets two Sundays a month, and a special-needs youth group meets during the week. The church made the move in part because The Clayton Center is easily accessible to the handicapped.
Plates of barbecued chicken will be on sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 4, at Amelia Christian Church, 1696 Amelia Church Road, Clayton. Plates are $8 and include half a chicken, boiled potatoes, green beans and hush puppoes. Homemade desserts will be on sale. Takeout will be available.
A pre-game Super Bowl party is scheduled from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, at Stevens Chapel Baptist Church, 2850 Stevens Chapel Road, Smithifeld. The party will feature games and food.

Bowls of soup will go on sale at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, at Discovery Church, 5586 Covered Bridge Road, Clayton. The is $5, with proceeds going to Clayton Area Ministries. Also, the church will be collecting cans of soup and peanut butter for CAM.
