Summer art camps
The Clayton Parks and Recreation Department will offer two art camps this summer.
A teen art camp, for ages 13-17, will meet from 9 a.m. to noon July 18-22. Young artists will explore different mediums to challenge their creativity. The cost is $70 for Clayton residents and $85 for nonresidents.
A pottery camp for ages 9-12 will meet from 9 a.m. to noon June 20-23 and July 7. Kids will create functional and decorative items inspired by summer gardens. The cost is $70 for Clayton residents and $85 for nonresidents.

Art Faire seeks entries
Clayton Visual Arts is seeking entries for this year’s Art Faire. The annual competition accepts works in two categories: fine arts and photography. The winner in each category receives $750. The entry fee is $25 for Clayton Visual Arts members and $40 for nonmembers, and the deadline to enter is 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26. More information is available at claytonvisualartsnc.org.
Sundown in Downtown
