St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church held services during the weekend for two men found shot to death July 19.
Family and friends of Arthur Brown, 78, gathered for his funeral at the church on Bridge Street. The services drew a standing-room-only crowd.
The rites for David McKoy, 66, were at the same church Saturday. Brown and McKoy were found fatally shot in a house on Howard Road and their deaths are being investigated as homicides.
“If you know anything please do not keep it to yourself, please share it with law enforcement, because I don't want anyone to feel the pain the spirit of loneliness that I feel right now,” Arthur Brown’s son, Kenny, said at the Sunday service.
The Wake County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is ongoing. ABC11
