Cary expects heavy traffic near WakeMed Soccer Park on Wednesday

About 10,000 fans are expected to attend the sell-out match between the U.S. Women’s National Team and Switzerland.

The town is advising drivers to avoid the area around WakeMed Soccer Park on Wednesday afternoon and evening.

About 10,000 fans are expected to attend the sell-out match between the U.S. Women’s National Team and Switzerland. Drivers should avoid the area between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to the town of Cary.

No lanes will be closed, but several streets are expected to see delays: East Chatham Street, Maynard Road, Trinity Road and Cary Towne Boulevard.
