Holly Springs singers perform
Five Holly Springs High School students performed with the North Carolina Honors Chorus in Winston-Salem in November. The students are Lauren Ashbrook, Ethan Baker, Allen Botwick, Haley Patrick and Peyton Wood.
The Holly Springs High School advanced choir Colla Voce performed for music teachers from across the state in Winston-Salem in November, during the N.C. Music Educators Association Convention.

Winter Choral Concert
Green Hope High School’s Winter Choral Concert will be from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, in the school auditorium at 2500 Carpenter Upchurch Road, Cary. The Voices of Hope Choir and Mixed Chorus will sing, directed by Margaret Cook and accompanied by Carol Myers. Admission costs $5.
Cary High School students will present “IMProv” shows monthly through May. Shows start at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium at 638 Walnut St., Cary. Wake County Public Libraries and Kaplan Test Prep offer a free, combined SAT and ACT practice test at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at West Regional Library, 4000 Louis Stephens Drive, Cary. The Cary Photographic Artists will sponsor a photo essay competition for Wake County students in ninth through 12th grade.
