Residents of the New Hill community can weigh in on proposed changes that could bring new development to the rural unincorporated area.
An open-house workshop is set for 4:30-6:30 p.m. Monday on the third floor of Apex Town Hall, 73 Hunter St.
Apex could change the zoning designation of about 287 acres of land south of Olive Farm Road from medium-density residential to mixed use. The town is also considering changing about 230 acres on the south side of Old U.S. 1 near Bosco Road from residential to mixed use.
The proposed changes are part of Apex’s 2030 land-use map.
A mixed-use designation could lead to the development of homes and retail and office space.
