Two apartments were destroyed and 10 were damaged in a fire at the Bexley Park Apartments on Wednesday, according to the Red Cross.
More than 40 people, including children, were affected by the fire, and up to 24 units were affected, Lu Esposito, regional communications officer for the American Red Cross in the Triangle, said in a news release.
No injuries were reported, according to Morrisville spokeswoman Stephanie Smith.
Officials think the fire began on the third floor of the building in the complex at 100 Summer Sky Drive, but the cause is unknown, Smith said in a news release. Suspicious activity is not suspected.
Residents were evacuated safely from the building, and firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.
The Red Cross will provide shelter, food, clothing and other help to residents displaced by the fire, Esposito said.
