Cary police are searching for a man who fled Fidelity Bank in downtown Cary Wednesday morning with an undisclosed amount of money, the town said.
The robbery took place at 9:08 a.m. in the annex of the bank at 150 W. Chatham St., Cary spokeswoman Deanna Hawkes said. A white man, whose face was covered with sunglasses and a multi-colored scarf, demanded $10,000 in cash, according to police.
“He didn’t show a weapon or imply that he had one, and nobody was injured,” Hawkes said.
The man was wearing a dark green coat, dark colored pants and black gloves.
