Volunteer at Lazy Daze
Cary is looking for volunteers for the Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival on Saturday, Aug. 23, in downtown Cary. Volunteers must sign up by Friday, Aug. 15, and must be at least 15 years old to work without an adult. School and community organizations are welcome. Bill Dooley Chapter Pigskin Preview
The Greater Raleigh Sports Council and Bill Dooley Chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame will host the 12th Annual Bill Dooley Chapter Pigskin Preview from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at the Embassy Suites Raleigh-Durham/Research Triangle, 201 Harrison Oaks Blvd., Cary. There will be an auction to benefit the National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame – Bill Dooley Chapter Scholarship Fund for Triangle high school athletes. Prevent Blindness Mixed Doubles Tennis Classic
The 23rd annual Prevent Blindness Mixed Doubles Tennis Classic will be from Thursday, July 31, through Sunday, Aug. 3, at MacGregor Downs Country Club, 430 St. Andrews Lane, Cary. The event will raise money for Prevent Blindness North Carolina. Registration to be an event patron and attend the Patron Party costs $40. Registration for the tournament costs $100 per team.
