SAT/ACT practice tests
Wake County Public Libraries and Kaplan Test Prep offer a combined SAT/ACT test for students to practice. Breakfast in Bed Race
The Caring Community Foundation’s Breakfast in Bed Race to raise money for local cancer patients will be Saturday, April 26, on Academy Street in Cary. Pits open at 6:30 a.m., the bed parade is at 8:30 a.m., and races start at 9 a.m. Five-person teams will design, build and race beds. There will also be kids’ activities, music and local food trucks. The third annual Purple Cloth 5K and Kid’s Dash, organized by Genesis United Methodist Church in Cary to raise money for the community-service programs of Dorcas Ministries, will be on Saturday, May 3, at Fred G. Bond Metro Park, 801 High House Road, Cary. Last year’s three-mile run for all ages raised $3,500. There will be a bounce house for kids, food, awards, a raffle and an award for the best purple outfit.
