Preschool Story Time

Senior Bingo

Auction for the Animals

The 14th annual Auction for the Animals fundraiser for Second Chance Pet Adoptions will be from 7-11 p.m. at Prestonwood Country Club, 300 Prestonwood Parkway, Cary. Movies by Moonlight

WakeMed Cary Hospital will sponsor a screening of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” at dusk, around 8:30 p.m., at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary.

Tickets are $3, free for kids younger than 12. A portion of proceeds will benefit the WakeMed Children’s Hospital. Picnics are allowed, but pets are not. Wet down ceremony

The Morrisville Fire Department will host a wet down ceremony for a new fire truck from 2-4 p.m. at Fire Station 1, 200 Town Hall Drive. Fire department staff will hose down the new apparatus, and participants will dry it off. The department encourages children to wear swimsuits and slip-resistant shoes to participate. There will also be cotton candy, drinks and tours of the fire truck.
