Hob Nob Jazz Series
Cary’s Hob Nob Jazz Series concerts will be from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays through June 3 at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway. Tickets for each concert cost $5 (free for ages 12 and younger). The entire series costs $20. Patrons are allowed to bring food and pets on leashes, but no alcohol. Live at Lunch concert series
The Town of Cary hosts a free concert series every Thursday in May from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Fidelity Bank Plaza, 100 W. Chatham St. The series features Hank Smith Duo on May 14; Erin Mason (soulful country and folk-pop) on May 21; and Peter Lamb & Mark Wells Duo (jazz) on May 28. Tables and chairs will be set up. Attendees are encouraged to bring lunch.
‘The Phantom Tollbooth’
Applause! Cary Youth Theatre presents the children’s play at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 17, at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave. Advance tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for seniors/students, and $5 children (5 and younger). All tickets at the door are $10.

The 18th annual “Play with the Pros” concert with the North Carolina Symphony will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary.
N.C. Symphony Summerfest Series
The symphony’s summer series kicks off Saturday, May 23, at Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for picnics before the shows and a pre-concert Instrument Zoo. Most concerts begin at 7:30 p.m.
The Cary Gallery of Artists will show artwork by guest artists Cynthia Mollenkopf and Dan Nelson through Tuesday, May 26, at 200 S. Academy St.
‘The Dining Room’

The Follow Me 2 Fuquay-Varina Concert Series continues with Smile from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18, in Centennial Square, 102 N. Main St., Fuquay-Varina.
The free concert series will be at 7 p.m. the fourth Friday of each month, through Sept. 25, in the gardens of the Page-Walker Arts & History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop.
