Lazy Daze grants
Cary nonprofits can apply for grants supported by the Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival through Sunday, Dec. 6. Organizations must have 501(c) 3 designation. Priority will be given to cultural arts, projects supporting the town’s projects or downtown Cary and other local causes. Applications are available at the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources office in Town Hall, 316 N. Academy St., or online: bit.ly/1SiLnRE.

Cary’s New Year, New You: Fitness Kick-Off event with free fitness classes and nutritional workshops runs from Monday, Jan. 4, through Friday, Jan. 8, at Bond Park Community Center, 801 High House Road. Classes run from noon to 1 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. each day.
Three Kings Day Parade

Family Trivia Night

Tobacco Road Marathon and Half-Marathon registration
Registration is open for the annual Allscripts Tobacco Road Marathon and the GNC Half Marathon to be held Sunday, March 13, along the American Tobacco Trail, starting in Cary. Registration fees are $90 for the marathon and $80 for the half marathon. Registration will increase incrementally until the run. All proceeds go to JDRF, the Wounded Warrior Project, the American Red Cross and the Rails to Trails Conservancy as well as Wake County Parks and Recreation. tobaccoroadmarathon.com.
