The Purple Cloth 5K fundraiser for Dorcas Ministries, hosted by Genesis United Methodist Church, will be on Saturday, May 14. purplecloth5k.com.
Fundraisers leading up to the event will be on Thursday, April 7, at City BBQ; Tuesday, May 3, at Patrick Jane’s Gourmet Pizza Bar; at Thursday, May 5, at Chick-fil-A at Stone Creek.
National Christian Choir

Infertility support group
A support group for those coping with infertility or considering adoption or reproductive medicine meets at 10:30 a.m. the third Saturday of each month at the West Regional Library, 4000 Louis Stephens Drive, Cary. The annual Appalachian Service Project Spaghetti Dinner at Sunrise United Methodist Church is at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at 5420 Sunset Lake Road, Holly Springs. Dinner is $8 for adults and $4 for kids.
There will also be a silent auction. The events will raise money for the church’s youth’s mission trip in the Appalachian mountains.
Raleigh Christian Women’s Connection
The Raleigh Christian Women’s Connection meets from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 19, at the Woman’s Club of Raleigh, 3300 Woman’s Club Drive, Raleigh. The meeting features fashion by Tupelo Honey and a presentation by Shirley Craddock.
