Brew ‘n’ Choo
New Hope Valley Railway presents Brew ‘n’ Choo beginning at 4 p.m. at the rail yard, 3900 Bonsal Road, New Hill. The event will feature train rides, craft beers, local wine, food and live music. Wild bird program
Owls, hawks and more will be featured at the American Wildlife Refuge program from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, June 26, in the Christian Life Center at White Plains United Methodist Church, 313 SE Maynard Road, Cary. Chatham Street Chowdown
Cary’s next Chowdown is from 5-9:30 p.m. Sunday, June 26. The food truck rodeo, which also features live performers and beer and wine vendors, will be held at a new location: on Templeton Street from Chatham Street to Waldo Street.
More than 25 vendors are scheduled to be on site. Rain or shine. MikeMickXer and Trophy Husbands will perform.

Registration is open for the Out of the Darkness Walk, Fuquay-Varina, scheduled from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at the South Park trail head of the Jeff Wells Environmental Trail.
