Free dental care
The North Carolina Missions of Mercy, sponsored by the N.C. Dental Society, will host free dental care clinics for adults Friday, July 29, and Saturday, July 30, at the former Stephens Hardware building, 405 E. Broad St., Fuquay-Varina. First-come, first-served. Service options are: teeth cleaning, fillings, extractions and partial denture construction (front teeth only; requires two-day committal). Limited to one service per patient.
No appointments. Those interested in receiving services are requested to obtain a wristband at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 28, or at 4 p.m. Friday, July 29. Organizers will hand out 400 wristbands each day. After receiving a wristband, participants must be on site at 5 a.m. on the corresponding day of service. Those without wristbands can wait in line Friday or Saturday to receive services on a first-come, first-served basis after participants with wristbands are seen. Bring medications, water and food, or whatever might be needed while waiting in line.
