The Mother Teresa Catholic Mission in Cary celebrates the canonization of Mother Teresa as a saint. Bishop Michael Burbidge, bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh, will preside at the 10:30 a.m. Mass Sunday, Sept. 4, in the auditorium at Green Hope High School, 2500 Carpenter Upchurch Road. Seeds of Love
Fall orientation for volunteers for Seeds of Love, “Semillas de Amor,” is 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, at White Plains United Methodist Church, 313 SE Maynard Road, Cary. Fall semester tutoring starts Sept. 13. The program, which assists Hispanic students in kindergarten to fifth grade, also is seeking additional tutors and substitute tutors.
