Jerry “J” Wilton Miller, Jr. went home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 18th. J turned his fight with cancer into a positive “No Fear” campaign giving out hundreds of t-shirts and spreading God’s Word everywhere he went.J was a loving husband, son, brother and friend. His magnetic personality and smile drew people to him. J loved and is loved by so many that life on earth will not be the same without him.J graduated from Cary High School in 1978. He attended Appalachian State University and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and AHO Rugby Club. J graduated with honors from North Carolina State University.J was actively involved in his community and had a passion for serving others. He served and volunteered with many civic organizations including serving as past President of The Cary Page Rotary Club, The Salvation Army Advisory Board and Christmas Committees and Joni and Friends Family Retreat Camps.J is survived by his wife, Patricia Davis Miller of Blowing Rock; parents, Jerry and Jean Miller of Cary; sister, Julie Miller Clark and Husband D.R. of Cary; sister, Jill Miller Goodman and husband David along with their daughters Reece and Sawyer of New Hill; and many loving family members and friends.A Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, Cary. Visitation and reception will immediately follow the service at the church. There will also be a Memorial Service at Boone United Methodist Church, Boone, NC on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 2 p.m. Visitation and reception will immediately follow the service at the church.www.brownwynnecary.com
