I read with delight the work that is proposed for the railroad bridge being built on Morrisville Parkway, which will reduce congestion. I think it is a wonderful idea and have actually wondered why railroad tracks were ever built over major roads in all parts of Cary, such as the one on High House Road by Northwest Maynard Road and the one on Old Apex Road.
These tracks create high elevations and unnecessary jolts to to cars, which affect their suspension, and make for an uncomfortable ride.
Railroad bridges should be thought of as a long-term solution to having railroad tracks built into roads. Tracks slow traffic, create congestion and make for a bumpy ride.
Never miss a local story.
