Tweaking Apex’s plans
I am astounded by the negative reaction to Apex’s efforts to plan for the future. Apex’s development plan must be reassessed on a regular basis. People reassess plans all the time; business plans, education plans, retirement plans. It is indicative of good leadership and long-term vision to push for it.
The Home Builders Association seems to feel it is entitled to do anything it pleases with Apex’s land. It should find out what Apex’s vision is and ask how it can help build it.
Apex is in the process of being created. There will be a permanent, final product at the end of this. It should not be done hastily. Other interests besides those of residential builders must be considered. Apex should seek advice from the Triangle Land Conservancy. It should consider the experiences of other municipalities. It should continue to study and plan.
Never miss a local story.
All interested parties should come to the table with ideas for improvement, progress and sustainability. Working together, we can create a magnificent outcome. Our leaders are wise to gather as much information as they can to make Apex’s future the best it can be. That is what good leaders do.
