Police are looking for the driver of a white Cadillac Escalade involved in a hit-and-run accident Saturday on N.C. 54 East.
Chapel Hill police responded to the accident shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of N.C. 54 and East Barbee Chapel Road.
The Escalade struck the victim’s car while it was disabled in the travel lane, with its hazard lights flashing, police reported. The Escalade may have front-end damage from the crash, they reported; the driver fled in the direction of Fordham Boulevard.
The victim, who was not identified, was taken to UNC Hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.

Investigators want to talk with anyone who may have witnessed or stopped at the crash, police spokesman Lt. Josh Mecimore said.

Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous, and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000 for information that leads to arrest.
