Tigers in America will match 50 percent of any donation of $500 or more to Carolina Tiger Rescue. Carolina Tiger Rescue, a nonprofit in Pittsboro, cares for 70 animals (tigers, leopards and more) and teaches about conservation.

Find Waldo Local Prize Drawing & Celebration

Sustain-a-Bull and The Regulator Bookshop will host the Find Waldo Local Prize Drawing & Celebration from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at 720 Ninth St. To enter the prize drawing, find Waldo 25 times or more in businesses throughout Durham.

Great Clips

Three Great Clips locations will donate 10% of proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill and the SECU Family House of Chapel Hill on Saturday, Aug. 2, and Sunday, Aug. 3. The participating Great Clips locations are:

• 104 N.C. 54, Carrboro.
• 509 Meadowmont Circle, Chapel Hill.
• 5412 New Hope Commons Drive, Durham.

Local Foods and Missions Dinner

The Carrboro United Methodist Women will host their fifth annual Local Foods and Missions Dinner from 5:30-7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at 200 Hillsborough Road, Carrboro. There will be a buffet dinner featuring local, fresh ingredients from farmers’ markets or producers. Dinner costs $10, or $5 for ages 6 and younger. The event will raise money for more than a dozen local and global organizations.

Goodwill Community Foundation collects donations

The Goodwill Community Foundation will collect donations of gently used clothes or household items at Durham Bulls games at the Durham Athletic Park from Friday, Aug. 8, to Sunday, Aug. 10. gcfglobal.org.

Concert For Tomorrow

Cat’s Cradle will host Concert for Tomorrow, a fundraiser for the Inter-Faith Council for Social Service, at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, at 300 E. Main St. The suggested donation is $10. bit.ly/1l1g2C6.

Cornucopia Cancer Support Center Golf Tourney

The 10th annual Cornucopia Cancer Support Center Golf Tourney will be Monday, Sept. 29. Registration costs $130 before Aug. 1. Registration after Aug. 1 costs $155. cancersupport4u.org.
