The Carrboro Parks and Recreation Department will host community drumming, a Rhythm Jam with Music Exploration, from 7:30-9 p.m. Friday at the Carrboro Century Center.

Pickleball

The Chapel Hill Small Dog Meetup Group will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays at Southern Village Dog Park, 1000 Dogwood Acres.

Carrboro Farmers’ Market

The Carrboro Farmers’ Market is open from 3-6 p.m. Wednesdays in the Carrboro Town Commons, beside Town Hall at 301 W. Main St. Andrea Weigl will demonstrate pickling okra at 3 p.m. Food trucks will serve dinner at 6 p.m. A portion of proceeds will benefit the market’s scholarship fund for the Sustainable Agriculture Program at Central Carolina Community College.

General Meditation Class

Overeaters Anonymous

Overeaters Anonymous will meet from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursdays at Carrboro United Methodist Church, 200 Hillsborough Road. The group meets in the white building beside the main church building, directly across from Looking Glass Cafe.

The Chapel Hill Small Dog Meetup Group will meet at 6 p.m. Thursdays at Southern Village Dog Park, 1000 Dogwood Acres.

Carrboro Farmers’ Market

The Carrboro Farmers’ Market is open from 7 a.m. to noon in the Carrboro Town Commons, beside Town Hall at 301 W. Main St. The farmers’ market will host a melon tasting with samples, popsicles, recipes and kids’ activities.

Chapel Hill Farmers’ Market

The Chapel Hill Farmers’ Market is open from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday at 201 S. Estes Drive.

Landfill Makeover Tour

The Sierra Club will host a Landfill Makeover Tour from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants will learn about what happens in a landfill’s “cap-to-closure” process. Registration is open to 14 people and details will be given to those who register. nc2.sierraclub.org/outing/landfill-makeover-tour.
