Pickleball

The Chapel Hill Small Dog Meetup Group will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays at Southern Village Dog Park, 1000 Dogwood Acres.

Drop-in craft

Kids and teenagers will make their own buttons in a drop-in craft session from 10 a.m. to noon at Orange County Public Library’s Carrboro Branch in McDougle Middle School, 900 Old Fayetteville Road.

Carrboro Farmers’ Market

The Carrboro Farmers’ Market is open from 3-6 p.m. Wednesdays in the Carrboro Town Commons, beside Town Hall at 301 W. Main St.

Optimist Club

The Optimist Club of Chapel Hill meets at 5:30 p.m. on the first, second and third Wednesdays of the month at the Bob Evans restaurant, 5419 Chapel Hill Blvd., Durham. New members are welcome.

General Meditation Class

Overeaters Anonymous

Overeaters Anonymous will meet from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursdays at Carrboro United Methodist Church, 200 Hillsborough Road. The group meets in the white building beside the main church building, directly across from Looking Glass Cafe.

The Orange County Public Library will host an informal group for chess players at 6 p.m. Thursdays at the Main Library, 137 W. Margaret Lane.

Financial workshop

The Compass Center will host a workshop on teaching children to manage money from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Chapel Hill Public Library, 100 Library Drive. Registration is required. 919-968-4610.
