Carolina Tiger Rescue donation matching

Tigers in America will match 50 percent of any donation of $500 or more to Carolina Tiger Rescue. Carolina Tiger Rescue, a nonprofit in Pittsboro, cares for 70 animals (tigers, leopards and more) and teaches about conservation. For donation matching, mail a check for $500 or more to Tigers in America with Carolina Tiger in the memo line.,

Car wash

The Orange High School Panther Regiment marching band will host a car wash fundraiser for the band’s upcoming season from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at BB&T Bank, 351 S. Churton St., Hillsborough.

Painted Chair & More Auction

Independent Animal Rescue’s Painted Chair & More Auction will be from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Levin Jewish Community Center, 1937 W. Cornwallis Road, Durham. The auction will raise money for the rescue’s programs, including spaying and neutering animals, foster care and adoptions. Tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

Field of Hope

The Field of Hope Durham Bulls game will raise money for the Kay Yow Foundation at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, 409 Blackwell St., Durham. Tickets cost $12.99.

Internationalist Books and Community Center benefit

Internationalist Books and Community Center will host a bike-in dinner and movie night at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at its new location, 101 Lloyd St., Carrboro. “Quicksilver” will be screened at 8 p.m. The suggested donation is $20.

Performance Golf Classic

The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce’s Performance Golf Classic fundraiser for the Partnership for a Sustainable Community will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at Governors Club, 11000 Governors Drive, Chapel Hill. Registration for chamber members costs $135 each or $525 for four. Registration for non-members costs $160 each or $600 for four.

Cornucopia Cancer Support Center Golf Tourney

The 10th annual Cornucopia Cancer Support Center Golf Tourney will be Monday, Sept. 29. Registration costs $130 before Aug. 1. Registration after Aug. 1 costs $155.
