Love Chapel Hill will host a silent auction to raise money for Made With Love Bakery at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Foundry, 7326 Sunrise Road, Chapel Hill. The Friends of the Durham Library will host the annual Fall Book Sale to raise money for the Durham County Library at the Main Library, 300 N. Roxboro St., Durham. The sale will be open to Friends members from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3. The sale will be open to everyone from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4. There will be a $7 bag sale from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5.

Dogs Off Chains
Dogs Off Chains’ first fundraiser will begin with a silent auction at 6 p.m. and Joe Bell and The Stinging Blades at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Pittsboro Roadhouse & General Store, 39 West St., Pittsboro. The silent auction includes vacation homes, local art adnd pottery, local food, gift certificates and gifts for pets. Admission is free and donations will be accepted.
