APPRENTICESHIP SCHOLARSHIP: Carrboro offers a $1,000 scholarship for young artists participating in a summer apprenticeship. High school seniors, college students and people who have graduated from college in the past year may apply by 5 p.m. Friday, May 30. townofcarrboro.org/AdvBoards/Art.

FESTIFALL: Applications for artists for the 42nd annual Festifall Arts Festifall will be accepted with a $25 fee through Friday, May 30. Festifall will be Sunday, Oct. 5. townofchapelhill.org/festifall.
