Daija Solomon, a Carrboro High School senior, recently received the Friends of the Carrboro Branch Library’s 2014 Mary Frances Eldridge Youth Scholarship. Solomon has logged over 100 hours with the Intern Volunteers for Youth Program as well as volunteering for RESPITE, where she read and took care of children to give parents time off.

She will attend East Carolina University in the fall.
•  Ryan A. Fisher, of Chapel Hill, recently earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. A diploma ceremony was held in Wait Chapel on Monday, May 19, following Commencement exercises on Hearn Plaza.
• Representative David Price was recently recognized with honorary membership by the American Society of Landscape Architects. The membership recognized with honorary membership by the American Society of Landscape Architects.
•  Gregory Kronmiller of Chapel Hill recently received Bachelor of Science degrees in computer science and mathematics from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, Ca. Kronmiller graduated with high distinction and departmental honors in mathematics and computer science.
•  Diana Cote of Chapel Hill has graduated Boston College with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University’s Wallace E. Carrol School of Management.
