The 2014 Chapel Hill Spring Garden Tour will donate proceeds of $28,000 to the Children’s Wonder Garden project of the N.C. Botanical Garden.

This represents the largest amount of Spring Garden Tour proceeds donated to the NCBG since the Tour began in 1996.

“We are so fortunate to have the support of the Chapel Hill Garden Club over these many years,” said Peter White, the garden’s director,. Their work to help advance the development of the Wonder Garden is outstanding. That Club is a force of nature, and we treasure them as a wonderful part of our community.”

With the inclusion of Tour 2014, the Chapel Hill Garden Club has now donated $168,000 in proceeds to the Botanical Garden. This year the focus was raising funds for the Children’s Wonder Garden, a place where children, families and friends will engage in exploration of the natural world through high-quality fun, and interactive outdoor spaces that excite creativity, imagination, play and learning.

Now on their 83rd year, the Chapel Hill Garden Club continues to be an integral part of the fabric of our community. The Club has an open membership policy and welcomes anyone interested in gardening. For more information go to
