A fundraiser for radio station WCOM-LP 103.5 will be from 5-10 p.m. at The Hickory Tavern in the Hampton Inn, 370 E. Main St., Carrboro. Ten percent of food sales totals will be donated to the radio station.
Chess players are invited to the Orange County Main Library from 6-7 p.m. Thursdays on the second floor of the library at 137 W. Margaret Lane, Hillsborough. If you plan to time games, bring your own clock or timer. Ages 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
New Hope Audubon Society
The New Hope Audubon Society’s monthly meeting will be from 7-8:30 p.m. at the North Carolina Botanical Garden, 100 Old Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill. Chatham County Agricultural Extension agent Debbie Roos will talk about local pollinators and give information on making a pollinator garden. Everyone is welcome.
