Beloved Friend. Born to Wilton E. and Martha Bruce Mason, Tony graduated from UNC at Chapel Hill. His involvement in the Civil Rights Movement included voter registration drives and witness at the March on Washington on August 28, 1963. In 1966, he moved to Madison, Wisconsin, where he completed his graduate studies in Political Science. He was a life-long member of the Green Lantern Eating Cooperative. Tony taught Political Science at Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota, from 1972 to 1975. In 1976, he joined the State of Wisconsin's Legislative Fiscal Bureau as an analyst, where, for 30 years, he conducted a distinguish career. His dedicated public service was codified in the 2005 Wisconsin Assembly Joint Resolution 103. A great humanist and student of history, prodigious reader, staunch supporter of Progressive causes, philatelist and chef of the highest renown, he is survived by Jon Reske and many devoted friends.
