Wolf named to all-academic district basketball team
Former East Chapel Hill basketball player Michael Wolf has been named the All-District 5 team for NCAA Div. III basketball. Wolf earned the nod representing William Peace and the USA South Conference. The honor automatically nominates him for a possible spot him on the Capital One Academic All-America team.
Wolf currently holds a 4.0 GPA majoring in Political Science at William Peace. He is ranked first in the USA South and seventh in the country for assist-to-turnover ratio (3.5) coming into last week, helping the Pacers' third-year program into second place in the conference.
Wolf is WPU's all-time leader in number of categories – including assists, assist/turnover ratio, and steals – and he was named the team’s Most Valuable Player last year. He was also the first-ever male recipient of the school’s Bierce Outstanding Athlete Award and Scholar-Athlete Award last year.
Never miss a local story.
