CHAPEL HILL Durham Jordan provided the perfect springboard Thursday to send East Chapel Hill into the home stretch of the girls’ lacrosse season on a high note.

CHAPEL HILL Durham Jordan provided the perfect springboard Thursday to send East Chapel Hill into the home stretch of the girls’ lacrosse season on a high note.

East Chapel Hill seniors Christine Kolk and Marina Jones each scored four points in a 12-1 blowout of Jordan. Kolk scored four goals on just five shots while Jones had three goals on six attempts and had one assist.

Fellow senior Isabella Zuco added two goals and one assist on “Senior Night” at Wildcat Stadium, where the team’s Class of 2014 was feted before the game.

Sara Adkins, Maddie Futch and Elizabeth Jensen each chipped in one goal for East

While Thursday night was a sendoff of sorts for the seniors – Adkins, Melissa Carroll, Maddie Fields, Futch, Jones, Kolk and Zuco – it wasn’t their last game of the season or even their last at home. The Wildcats (8-6 overall, 4-3 Conference IV) host conference leader Cardinal Gibbons (10-2, 6-0) on Tuesday and then close their regular season schedule with a non-conference game at Raleigh Ravenscroft (10-2) on May 7.
